About Laurence Freitas
I'm Laurence Freitas, ND, L.Ac., MPH, MPP, and I founded Realm Naturopathic in Coronado. I chose naturopathic medicine and acupuncture over conventional medicine because natural medicine helped me when pharmaceuticals were limiting my health, and I want more people to have access to it. My patients describe me as attentive, caring, and a good listener, and I take pride in explaining your options both inside and outside of conventional medicine.
How we work
Care starts with understanding you. I trained for six years in both naturopathic primary care and Classical Chinese medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine, so I can combine conventional and naturopathic diagnostics with acupuncture, custom plant medicine, nutrition and lifestyle counseling, homeopathy, and vitamin injections. I focus on chronic pain and chronic conditions and work toward the root of a concern rather than only quieting symptoms, using evidence-based approaches to help you stay well. Every new patient starts with a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation, and video and phone visits are available alongside in-person care.
